The Engineered Composites Incorporated (ECI) facility integrates state-of-the-art machining centers to produce precision composite parts with complex geometrical features and/or unique functional requirements. We utilize advanced CNC machining as part of our lean, vertically integrated manufacturing processes – both for product finishing and for custom tooling.

Precision Finishing for Complex Molded Composite Parts

Beyond accurate molding and forming, our customers’ composite parts often require finely machined edges, drilled or tapped holes, and precise mating features to meet the final application specifications.

Our in-house CNC machining department is fully equipped to deliver clean, repeatable finishing for a wide range of thermoset and thermoplastic composite materials. We can thus achieve a more accurate surface finish, tighter tolerances, and/or complex part features, which would be impossible using only conventional compression molding processes.

CNC Machining for In-House Tooling and Fixtures

In addition to part finishing, ECI uses CNC machining to support in-house tooling and mold manufacturing. Our toolroom utilizes high-precision CNC machines to manufacture and maintain production tooling, jigs, and fixtures. In-house tooling enables shorter lead times, improved part quality, and greater flexibility for any future design changes your products may require.
